Education/Training

I am currently in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s degree program at Liberty University. I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Development. I served 22 years in the United States Army, working with Infantry, Aviation, and Special Forces units. I also served back-to-back deployments to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). My specialized military training relevant to counseling includes sexual assault response coordinator, career counseling, and financial management. While most of my experience has been with veterans and their families, I have had the opportunity to work with adolescents and children via coaching experience. I am also a certified SYMBIS Facilitator which is a pre-marriage assessment trainer.

My mission statement is that I believe in creating a non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to share the hurt, trials and suffering that this life can sometimes present. It is a privilege to walk with you through your personal journey to wellness. I use an integrative method with clients factoring in psychological, social, environmental, biological, and spiritual elements of life. We can work together to find the best approach to meet your needs and achieve your goals. I look forward to the opportunity to helping you live your best life.

I am supervised by Kim Huff-Howard License # 76534. She may be reached at  Kim@Counselingcreations.org.
