Nutritional Guidance

Nutrition can play a key role in promoting mental health. Individuals who are lacking essential vitamins and minerals may struggle with a variety of mental health conditions. In addition, food choices can impact our mood. In our fast-paced lives, we often settle for fast foods which can be harmful to not only our physical well-being but also our mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health. Eating foods with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants helps the brain to function properly. Diets that are high in sugar are harmful to the brain. Further, diets high in refined sugars are found to have a correlation to impaired brain function. It can also increase mood disorders such as depression. Adding important nutrients to your diet can reduce depression, anxiety, and the effects of trauma on the brain. Learn more about how nutrition can improve your physical and mental health.
