I am a Christian lay counselor with a Christian Religion degree from Liberty University.  I am Certified in Therapon’s Belief Counseling: Belief therapy is the faith-based lie-versus-truth counseling process based on the premise that people do what they do because they believe what they believe. 

 

Most of my adult life was spent in the family real estate business, focusing on property management. This experience taught me to listen to others concerns and mediate effectively between property owners and tenants.

 

After relocating to the Houston area, I decided to pursue my passion for Christian education and obtained my degree in the Christian Religion. My involvement in church activities and lay counseling has always been a significant part of my life. I find joy in witnessing the personal growth that comes from living according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

 

I have worked with others through various traumas, from sexual abuse when I volunteered with the Regional Victim Crisis Center.  I have supported women as they work through the physical, as well as the emotional heartbreak of abortion through a group called Open Arms. I also put value on addressing personal misunderstandings within the church and to understand their own personal roles, goals, and expectations.

 

My focus is on working with women of all ages, helping them grow spiritually, find restoration, and live victoriously using their own God-given gifts.
